In Solidarity for a Green World
From November 11 to 22, the 29th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) was held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.
As a representative of China's electric mobility industry, Yao Li, President of TAILG Group, attended the "High-Level Forum on South-South Cooperation on Climate Change" at the COP29 China Pavilian on the 15th, interacted in depth with senior officials from various countries, shared green solutions for global climate change, and jointly discussed topics related to global "carbon trading".
Share Low-Carbon Experience on Behalf of the Industry
From November 11 to 22, the 29th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP29) is being held at the Baku Olympic Stadium in Azerbaijan. Nearly 200 countries are represented, with over 70,000 delegates registered to attend, including leaders from more than 50 countries and heads of international organizations.
The conference focuses on climate finance commitments, enhancing carbon reduction targets, and implementing adaptation strategies, while promoting the improvement of global carbon markets mechanisms. At the China Pavilion, in order to better explore global low-carbon issues, 10 thematic side event days are set, including Summit Day, New Energy Day, Carbon Market Day, Cooperation Day, and Digitalization Day.
Zhao Yingmin, Head of the Chinese Delegation to COP29 and Vice Minister of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, stated at the conference that, in response to the complex and changing international situation, China will continue to implement an active national strategy to tackle climate change, vigorously promote South-South cooperation on climate action, strengthen global collaboration, and work together to build a prosperous, clean, and beautiful world.
As one of the key sectors for carbon emissions, the transition from fuel to electric power in transportation is crucial to achieving low-carbon goals, with China’s progress in low-carbon electricity generation and new energy transportation showing remarkable results. Data indicates that China’s carbon emission intensity dropped by over 34% from 2013 to 2023.
At the conference, Jennifer Lyke, Global Director of Energy at the World Resources Institute, highlighted that China is one of the world's leading countries in green energy production and can share its experience to radically help decarbonize.
On the 15th, at the China Pavilion - High-level Forum on South-South Cooperation on Climate Change, many ministerial representatives, high-level representatives of international organizations and senior experts in related fields participated in the meeting in depth to build consensus on climate action among South-South countries.
As the e-mobility partner of the United Nations and the provider of new energy solutions for two-wheeled mobility, Yao Li, President of TAILG Group, was invited to attend the High-level Forum on South-South Cooperation on Climate Change on behalf of the industry, to share the experience of low-carbon technologies and the latest progress in the promotion of electric mobility programs.
Joining Hands to Chart a Low-Carbon Path Overseas
Along with the growing demand for low-carbon transportation in the global market, especially the continuously expanding demand for electric two- and three-wheeled vehicles in developing countries, the participation of the electric vehicle industry has become an important force in global climate change and green transformation.
At present, China's electric two-wheeled vehicle industry is helping low- and middle-income countries accelerate the transition from oil to electricity by improving energy efficiency, battery technology, and power exchange systems. It provides an effective solution for achieving carbon neutrality in the global transportation sector.
TAILG has been deeply engaged in electric mobility for 21 years. Relying on industry-leading R&D centers and CNAS-accredited laboratories, TAILG has accumulated more than 2,000 patents of various kinds through continuous innovations in the fields of energy-saving and power saving, new energy batteries, and charging and switching technologies. With the globalization of the brand, these technologies have been gradually promoted to low- and middle-income countries, helping them move towards the road of green development.
In recent years, electric mobility projects in Kenya, Uganda, the Philippines and Thailand are typical examples of TAILG's cooperation with the United Nations Environment Program to promote climate action.
In the Philippines, TAILG's electric tricycles have contributed to the electrification reform of the postal service, and the model was featured on a commemorative postage stamp. In Thailand, TAILG donated electric motorcycles to accelerate the popularization of low-carbon transportation in the local takeaway and passenger transportation industries.
In Ghana, TAILG developed the TK90 motorcycle specifically for the African market, which effectively lowers the cost of use by 30% with the replaceable lithium battery, and gradually enters Kenya, Tanzania and other countries.
In addition, TAILG is developing photovoltaic electric tricycles with a power generation efficiency of over 25%, and exploring the application of photovoltaic panels in power exchange cabinets in Africa to provide a cleaner, energy-efficient and low-carbon solution for transportation.
“As the e-mobility partner of the United Nations and the strategic partner of the Belt and Road Initiative, TAILG is willing to work with industry partners to continue to promote electrification and decarbonization globally,” said Mr. Yao Li, President of TAILG.
The electric mobility industry, represented by TAILG, is actively expanding globally, actively assuming the responsibility of climate action and jointly building a better blueprint for global electric mobility.
